Creamy White Chocolate Pudding

If you a subscriber to The 4 Blades Magazine you will know how popular this dessert has been! This Creamy White Chocolate Pudding recipe comes from our Desserts Issue which was released back in July this year. This is my tweaked version. If you want an even quicker version (under 10 minutes!) see The Desserts Issue for recipe.  This is a delicious quick treat when you need dessert in a hurry or want to make something in advance. It's simple, uses only a few ingredients, and tastes delicious. You can make this dish go further by stirring some fresh fruit through the mixture before serving. This has become my partner's [...]

Hummingbird Cake

Hummingbird Cake always reminds me of childhood. When my childhood best friend had a birthday her Mum would often buy a Hummingbird Cake. Boy did I love that cake! Full of delicious banana and pineapple with a yummy cream cheese icing. I always felt really fancy eating this cake. I felt so grown up. When it came time to pick recipes for The Picnic Issue of the The 4 Blades Magazine I couldn't go past this cake. These just screams of warm weather and spring. My partner often takes in my creations to his work to share and get feedback on. This one was so popular a colleague requested another [...]

Kiddie Approved Tomato Sauce

Apologies for the crickets and tumbleweeds blowing  through the website over the last two months. I am currently undergoing a website revamp so I have been working on that and cooking away behind the scenes so when the new site is ready I will have so many delicious recipes for you and your family to enjoy! I can't wait to show you the new site. Exciting times ahead! (Also, apologies for the pop up upon entering the site! I just wanted to make sure you didn't think I had vanished). I have been experimenting with tomato sauce and finally mastered a sauce my kiddies adore! It isn't as tart as [...]

Sticky Date Cheesecake with Butterscotch Sauce

Well it has been a bit quite around here over the last few weeks as I have been working hard on the latest issue of The 4 Blades Magazine - The Desserts Issue. We worked so hard on creating a really thorough issue to cater to all dietary requirements. Some recipes were made several times to perfect, some were scraped from the mag and new ones added in last minute because they were just to good to leave out. This Sticky Date Cheesecake with Butterscotch Sauce is one of the recipes that was made several times over the last few months; not because it wasn't perfect. Because it was soooo [...]

Golden Syrup Dumplings

It has been a busy month for The 4 Blades Magazine. Bec and I have been busy creating new and exciting recipes, like these Golden Syrup Dumplings, for our Winter Warmers Issue of the magazine. Winter for me means comfort food and being curled up on the couch. Soups galore and fresh bread. As much as I hate the cold weather (says she who has lived in Canberra her whole life), I LOVE warm, hearty winter foods. These delicious Golden Syrup Dumplings are just one of the 45+ recipes featured in this issue. They are so so easy and budget friendly that  they make for a lovely dessert for [...]

Chilli, Lime and Coriander Butter

This recipe comes from The Steaming Issue of The 4 Blades Magazine. This was probably my most favourite issue  to create aside from our current Breakfast Issue. I loved creating new and exciting dishes for the steaming attachment/varoma. This is on piece of a Thermomix I find people don't use enough for various reasons. This is just one of the butters that I created for the issue to accompany steamed corn however this butter is so so versatile. Use it in place of garlic butter in my garlic bread, use it in to of a grilled steak or perhaps fish or place inside of a chicken breast and crumb, similar [...]

Puttanesca Meatballs on Zoodles

This recipe comes from The Steaming Issue of The 4 Blades Magazine. This was probably my most favourite issue  to create aside from our current Breakfast Issue. I loved creating new and exciting dishes for the steaming attachment/varoma. This is on piece of a Thermomix I find people don't use enough for various reasons. These meatballs are packed full of flavour and smell delicious. You can easily have them on their own as a starter or serve on zoodles for a healthy and fresh option. Prefer pasta? Don't worry! My family hear you big time. Of course you can serve these on pasta as well. Try my Homemade Pasta Dough [...]

Healthy Choc Pops

If your kiddies love Coco Pops or similar they will love these! These Healthy Choc Pops are something I have been wanting to bring to life for quite some time but never had a reason to (I already have way too much food in my kitchen most days!). These evolved from my Healthy Chocolate Crackles recipe I posted at the beginning of this year. Bec and I were busily working away on The Breakfast Issue (released today!) of The 4 Blades Magazine and I decided to include this as a last minute addition and I am so glad I did. These are so easy, made of delicious ingredients and [...]
