Meatballs are always a hit in our house as they are easy to make, kid friendly and only require a little bit of salad on the side. These are often my “Eek! I haven’t started dinner yet” meal. My kiddies love getting in and involved with cooking. Because I oven bake these, the kiddies help with the rolling and placing on the oven dish. Whilst the meatballs are cooking I just chop up some salad and cheese cubes. The boys eat every last mouthful… well most of the time.

Today I thought I would play with the flavours a little bit. Honey and soy are such popular flavours I knew they would work (well I did have my fingers crossed). My partner loathes meatballs with a passion but he loved these. He said the flavours were great.

As I mentioned above, these are baked in the oven as these are a wet mixture. Avoid adding anything to thicken the mixture as you don’t want these to dry out. They will have some liquid come off them during the cooking process so best to use a dish rather than tray to bake if possible.
