This is a healthier version of the sour cream French onion dip.

I thought of this in the middle of the night whilst up with the baby and thought I was a genius! I googled and it turns out others had the same idea. I haven’t seen one done in the tmx so thought I would post.

It’s a much different taste to the sour cream version. It tastes nice with crackers and carrot sticks.

Almond French Onion Dip

Ingredients

  • 1 cup almonds soaked in water for 68 hours
  • 40g French onion soup mix
  • 1 spring onion sliced
  • Water

Instructions

  1. Drain almonds and place into tmx.
  2. Blitz on speed 8 for 15 seconds.
  3. Scrape down.
  4. Add 1 measuring cup of water.
  5. Blitz on speed 8 for 10 secs.
  6. Scrape down.
  7. Add 1 measuring cup of water (don’t add this one if you want a chunkier dip).
  8. Blitz on speed 8 for 30 secs if adding the water.
  9. Add soup mix.
  10. Blitz on speed 8 for 10 secs.
  11. Pour into a bowl and top with spring onions.
  12. Refrigerate.
  13. Consume that day.
