Ingredients

- 500–600g pasta of choice, cooked according to packet
- 800g diced tomatoes or passata
- 1 large onion, diced
- 3 garlic cloves, crushed
- 5 shortcut rashers of bacon, diced
- 1 small mild chill, finely diced
- 10g oil
- Salt and Pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Place tomatoes into a blender and process until smooth if you are wanting a smooth sauce. If not, use as is.
- Place oil, onion, chilli, bacon and garlic into a frying pan over a medium heat. Cook until softened and fragrant. Approximately 5 minutes. Stir often.
- Add remaining ingredients.
- Cook for 15 minutes on a low heat, stirring often.
- Stir sauce through cooked and drained pasta.
- Serve.
Notes
- You can use pancetta or salami for this recipe.
- For a more cost effective option you can use jarred crushed garlic and dried chilli flakes in this recipe.
