Apple and Banana Oat Pods

Description

To freeze: place in a single layer in an airtight, freezer safe container.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 red apple, cored and quartered
  • 2 large banana
  • 1 tsp vanilla bean paste
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp honey
  • 200g rolled oats

Instructions

Then mix like this

  1. Preheat oven to 180C. I recommend using a silicone muffin form to cook these in so they pop out easily.
  2. Place apple into bowl. Speed 7 / 5 seconds. Scrape down.
  3. Add remaining ingredients except the oats. Speed 7 / 6 seconds.
  4. Add oats. Reverse + Speed 2 until just mixed.
  5. Place a tablespoon and a half of mixture into each muffin hole. Press down to compact.
  6. Bake for about 10-15 minutes or until set.
  7. Allow to cool completely then transfer to a wire rack.

Or cook like this

  1. Preheat oven to 180C. I recommend using a silicone muffin form to cook these in so they pop out easily.
  2. Add banana to a bowl and mash until smooth.
  3. Grate apple into the same bowl.
  4. Add all remaining ingredients and mix with a spoon until combined.
  5. Place a tablespoon and a half of mixture into each muffin hole. Press down to compact.
  6. Bake for about 10-15 minutes or until set.
  7. Allow to cool completely then transfer to a wire rack.
