I was given some for Christmas last year but have just run out. I thought I'd make my own for the new year!
I have posted a few body scrubs in the last month but this has got to be my favourite. Perfect for gift giving.
Another one to add to my homemade beauty products album. This is aimed at the feet but can be used as a hand or body scrub. Use by rubbing all over your feet and wash off with warm to hot water. This is to personal preference. Some people like it runnier while others prefer it drier and more gritty. Use as much or as little oil as you like. The sugar does settle over time so just give your container a little shake once a day or so. If you use it much less just shake when you go to use it or every week or so. It should last [...]
Originally posted to our Facebook page 26th November, 2013. This isn't a new recipe. It is the Simple Liquid Hand Soap recipe however I just wanted to show you that it can be body wash as well! This is a huge money saver as well all know how expensive this is. You can buy really nice homemade soaps for around $5-7 a bar and it makes two liters of body wash. You of course can use cheaper bars. You can add colour and scent if you like. I don't find I need to with the soap I used. People ask me how I store my scrubs I posted the [...]
Well I have done food. I have done soy candles. I've also done children's homemade art and craft supplies. Time for some home and beauty products made in the tmx don't you think? This is the first time I've actually made this. I used to buy this at an expensive store but to save some pennies I thought I'd give it at home. This can be used in the shower as a body scrub but I'll keep it in the laundry and kitchen as a hand scrub. It's good to use after working with dough as it helps get the dried on bits off. Use and wash off with warm [...]
This smells so yummy!!! Because it has nuts in it I'd be inclined to use it within a few weeks to avoid it going rancid. This makes a small batch. Approximately 3/4 of a cup.
I've spent most of the week with a cold. Not fun at all in summer! I can't stand the smell of store bought vapour rubs. I think it brings up too many memories of being sick as a child. I loooooove the smell of eucalyptus though so have made my own rub. I have some in a little tub but also filled some lip gloss tubes so I can use it under my nose easily and keep in my handbag.
