Quick Chicken San Choy Bow

By |2017-06-12T11:20:22+00:00March 11th, 2016|Categories: Lunch and Dinner|0 Comments

Join us This recipe is loosely based off my Beef San Choy Bow recipe posted in 2014 but revamped with some new flavours. What I love about this dish is you can serve it as is, in lettuce cups, over steamed rice or alongside some delicious steamed veggies. It is so versatile (and SO delicious!). This is great served hot or cold! I love it cold the next day served with salad veggies. I have cooked this in a large [...]

You can easily make one from scratch in no time at all and very little effort. Despite looking impressive, this is one of the easiest meals you will ever make! What I love about it is you can change the filling to suit your tastes and what you have in [...]

Created with Jamie | Crunchy Garlic Chicken Fillets with Pesto Potatoes

By |2017-06-12T11:20:38+00:00June 2nd, 2015|Categories: Created with Jamie, Lunch and Dinner, Review|14 Comments

Product was provided by Woolworths for this recipe creation* Those that are familiar with my blog know I use packet ingredients in some of my recipes. I still love and buy take away food. I still buy pre-prepared foods. As much as I love creating things from scratch where I can, not everything we eat is and that's okay. We sometimes get caught up in thinking we have to make everything from scratch in our magic $2000+ machine but [...]

This recipe comes from The Steaming Issue of The 4 Blades Magazine. This was probably my most favourite issue  to create aside from our current Breakfast Issue. I loved creating new and exciting dishes for the steaming attachment/varoma. This is on piece of a Thermomix I find people don't use enough for various reasons. These meatballs are packed full of flavour and smell delicious. You can easily have them on their own as a starter or serve on zoodles for [...]

I cook these Mini Chicken Kiev Bites in the Airfryer and they are so moist inside but delicious and crunchy on the outside. This is my favourite way to cook them. Instructions are given for shallow frying and oven also. Dont have a tmx? Simply [...]

Breakfast Wraps

By |2017-06-12T11:20:55+00:00January 30th, 2015|Categories: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner|3 Comments

These wraps are inspired by my mother in law after a recent stay with her in QLD. These are not only delicious for breakfast but make a really quick and easy dinner. I try to always keep a packet of homemade wraps in the fridge so I can make something like this quickly for lunch. Now I have a confession. Not everything in this recipe is made in the tmx for these. I love nothing more than crispy bacon so [...]

I'm not sure how we came up with this name but let's roll with it! This meal is delicious, budget friendly, great the next day or reheated, feeds A LOT or plenty as leftovers, freezes well and you can add lots of vegetables too if desired. Winner in my books!   Oh my goodness these are my most favourite thing to make at the moment. These are my "cant be bothered to make potato bake or salad so this is the next best thing" cheat meal. We served these on Boxing Day along with salad, ham and chicken. Was so delicious and easy. We eat these as a side or as a main. They are as filling as you make them. Below I have included a list of topping ideas. [...]

Bolognese Gnocchi Bake

By |2017-06-12T11:21:07+00:00November 30th, 2014|Categories: Lunch and Dinner|6 Comments

My Bolognese Gnocchi Bake is a recipe I used to make all the time years ago when the kiddies were younger. It was relatively cheap - mince, a bottle of tomato pasta sauce, packet gnocchi and some cheese. It was an under $10 dinner and so easy. Well I still cook it but change it up a bit now that I have a tmx. I make my own sauce but still use store bought gnocchi. You can certainly use [...]

Tomato and Roast Capsicum Sauce

By |2017-06-12T11:21:07+00:00November 27th, 2014|Categories: Condiments, Bastes and Marinades, Lunch and Dinner|2 Comments

Just an easy recipe tonight as I use this sauce in an upcoming recipe that will be posted here. This is a great sauce to make up and freeze into 2-3 batches for future use in main meals or smaller batches. It is great stirred through cooked pasta with a little shaved or grated cheese. It makes a great bolognese sauce with beef or chicken mince and it tastes delicious on pizzas as a base sauce. Spoon over cooked [...]

I couldn't even tell you the last time I bought one of those. Years and years ago. Here is a quick way to have a hot pizza on the table in no time at all AND without all the nasties and excess oil (Don't get me wrong I do love a [...]

Chicken, Pumpkin and Spinach Lasagne

By |2017-06-12T11:21:12+00:00November 13th, 2014|Categories: Lunch and Dinner|2 Comments

I love lasagne. I thought I'd change up the flavours a bit. My partner was not impressed with the thought of steering away from traditional beef lasagne. Now, he did try it but of course he didn't loooove it.  He said it was tasty but preferred beef. The kiddies on the other hand devoured it. They couldn't get enough. I left my pumpkin in big chunks. If you think your kiddies may notice and be horrified, blitz the raw [...]

Steamed Chicken Breasts with Honey Mustard Sauce

By |2017-06-12T11:21:17+00:00October 27th, 2014|Categories: Lunch and Dinner|19 Comments

My partner loves anything honey mustard so this is a popular dish. You can certainly cook all your veggies on the stove and double or triple the amount of chicken and sauce. Just remember when doubling you will need to increase the time by 20%. Double the sauce will be plenty though. If you want a subtle tasting sauce, reduce each mustard component by half. You can serve the chicken and sauce over rice or pasta if desired. Instructions [...]
