Date Jam

Description

An easy sugar free, no cook jam. This makes one small jar to last the week.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 100g dried pitted dates
  • 100g boiling water
  • A sprinkle of cinnamon or half a teaspoon of vanilla beans, optional

Instructions

  1. Place dates into a bowl with the water.
  2. Allow to sit for an hour or until softened.
  3. Place into tmx or food processor, along with the vanilla or cinnamon if using them, and blitz on speed 9/high speed for 10 seconds. Scrape down the sides.
  4. I repeat this process 5 times to get a smooth paste. There will be some slight chunks in it like most jams.
  5. Process until you get the desired consistency you are after.
  6. Place into a small jar or container and keep in the fridge for a week.
