Easter Chocolate Nests

  • Author: The road to loving my Thermo Mixer
  • Total Time: 60

Description

These are a perfect little gift for Easter! I make these up, wrap in cellophane and a little ribbon as a little gift to people. They are super easy but look effective! They have always been a hit especially with children. When making these for children I use a mini muffin case and only two little eggs.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 200g milk cooking chocolate, in small pieces
  • 80g shredded coconut, toasted
  • mini Easter eggs of choice

Instructions

  1. Lightly grease small muffin holes with coconut oil.
  2. Add chocolate to bowl. 5 minutes / 50C / Speed 2 until melted.
  3. Once melted, add the coconut and mix on Reverse / Speed 3 until combined.
  4. Place a tablespoon of mixture into a muffin hole and work it up sides, using a teaspoon, to form a nest shape. Ensure you have a sturdy bottom to the nest. Repeat until all the mixture is used.
  5. Place into the fridge to set for 30-60 minutes.
  6. Once set, place as many mini eggs as you like inside the nest.
  7. Store in the fridge for up to two weeks in an airtight container until serving.

Notes

  • You can use any chocolate you like for these.
  • You can use fried noodles or puffed rice in place of the coconut if preferred also.
