Krispy Fried Chicken

I didn't have any breadcrumbs in the freezer and no bread left to make any so I experimented tonight. This is my take on krispy fried chicken.  This was a massive hit. I only got the tiniest of pieces. Will be a regular here with salad during summer. Would make yummy burgers too.  This makes quite a bit of coating. Store remainder in an airtight container.

Fluffy Vanilla Pikelets

These Fluffy Vanilla Pikelets are just that. Fluffy, taste of vanilla and pikelets! Pikelets and pancakes are very popular in our house. the boys love them. What I love about them is they are so easy  to make, make plenty and can be frozen for the lunchbox. These are so soft and fluffy and have a delicious hint of vanilla in them. I use Chef's Choice Alcohol Free Vanilla Extract in these and it gives them a beautiful vanilla flavour. You can of course use vanilla of your choice. Popcorn Chicken

Originally posted to our Facebook Page in December 2013.    Yummo! This is a tweak to my Krispy Fried Chicken I recently posted.   They are a little bit more work than the breast or strip version but worth it. These little bite size pieces are delicious! Be careful or you will gobble them all up!    We serve these with salad or in wraps with salad as shown in the pic. They are quite nice cold so a perfect lunchbox addition.    I used one very large chicken breast and it was plenty for one adult and two kiddies. This recipe below is for two chicken breasts which should [...]

Homemade Washing Powder

I have spent weeks and weeks researching this topic to create my own recipe. You would think this is quite simple but there is a bit you need to know. Everything is explained below. Before I go on, if you have a favorite brand of powder and are absolutely in love with it, making your own will be a big leap. The consistency is different, the smell is different and its less sudsy. The store bought ones are a lot more powerful but that is because they use powerful chemicals such as bleach. I have experimented using this powder on baby clothes, kids clothes and a load of dirty [...]

Chocolate Caramel Tarts

Earlier today I posted my Caramel Condensed Milk on my Facebook page. I hinted that I was turning it into something. This is it. My Chocolate Caramel Tarts. These are a little bit more time consuming than a slice but worth the effort. They are a great addition to a dessert bar or high tea.
