A quick dinner in 30 minutes or a great finger food for a party. Either way they are delicious!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 500g good quality beef mince
  • 1 onion, peeled and quartered
  • 2 garlic cloves, peeled
  • 1 egg, you can leave this out
  • 1 heaped tablespoon of honey
  • 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
  • 1/2 tablespoon of oyster sauce
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon of sesame seeds, optional

Dipping sauce

  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 spring onion, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees.
  2. Place onion and garlic into bowl.
  3. Blitz on speed 7 for 5 seconds. Scrape down.
  4. Add remaining meatball ingredients except sesame seeds.
  5. Blitz on speed 4 for 6 seconds or until just combined.
  6. Roll into 28 balls and place into large baking dish.
  7. Bake for 18 minutes or until cooked through.
  8. Sprinkle sesame seeds over the top.
  9. Combine soy sauce and shallots in a small bowl.
  10. Serve meatballs with dipping sauce.

Notes

  • These are baked in the oven as these are a wet mixture. Avoid adding anything to thicken the mixture as you don’t want these to dry out. They will have some liquid come off them during the cooking process so best to use a dish rather than tray to bake if possible.
