I was very fortunate to recieve a set of Sinchies (shown below) to experiment with and review! I must say Im hooked and can not wait to buy more to stock my freezer full of lunchbox snacks and baby food for my 5 month old. These are so effortless.

I love the variety of sizes they come in – 1l, 200ml, 140ml and 80ml. It’s great for portion control. I’m able to still give the boys the occasional treat like custard but portion it to 80mls – I love that!

They come with two lid options which is great for younger children or those with low wrist strength. My 4 year old (who still puts EVERYTHING in his mouth!) preferred the bigger lid whilst my 5 year old was happy with the smaller one to open. They are designed to be anti choke lids however.

This is a good reminder from the website:

CAUTION:
Ensure young children are supervised when using this product! It contains small parts (the lid/cap) which children could swallow or choke on. We recommend purchasing the child safe choke free lids if using this product for infants.

Filling
I was worried about filling this but it was quite easy. You can purchase a funnel which helps with filling.

With some of the thicker fillings I found just tapping the funnel slightly On the pouch the filling went in fine.

The lovely Hayley who is a liker of TRTLMT and Sinchies uses a sauce bottle to fill her Sinchies. Thank you for letting me share your picture Hayley.

Some of the things we tried in the Sinchies were:

Yoghurt:

Baby Apple Porridge (80mls is just perfect for my 5 month old who is starting solids):

Mashed banana (My 4 year old refuses banana lately but requested it as long as it was in “a packet”. Im happy to do it if it means he will eat it!):

Homemade chocolate yoghurt (again great to give a small portion):

I decided to store my thermomix vegetable concentrate stock in the 1 lite pouch. I love this! So easy to squeeze just a little into the tmx bowl!

There is very minimal mess when filling and if the opening gets messy you can wipe with a cloth.

I was worried it would leave too much waste in the Sinchies but there was minimal.

Cleaning

Cleaning was another thing I was worried about but it was relatively easy. I washed the Sinchies up both straight away and left overnight. Both were as easy to clean. I just washed them in hot soapy water and used a toothbrush to get into the grooves. Even the mashed banana that sat overnight was quick and easy to clean.

Sinchies do sell a brush set:

For drying I dried them hanging over forks and spoons in a glass as shown below which I got from the fb page. They dried very quickly and I was able to use them again not long after. It was a nice surprise to see how easy they were to clean. I had put off buying these for a long time because of that.

Sinchies do sell a drying rack. I will invest in one of these as it will be easier long term as I’ll be  using lots of Sinchies for the school lunchbox and baby food.
