I was watching the TV show “Recipes to Riches” a few weeks back and saw the lady that made the biscuit dough and froze it into portions. What a great idea!
I regularly make full rolls of dough and pop into the freezer for a quick afternoon tea when someone pops over with little notice. The problem is I don’t always need a full or half log. Sometimes I just need a couple of biscuits. So freezing in individual portions is a much better idea. I can cook just a few biscuits at a time instead of the full batch.
You can thaw these and flatten if you want a flatter biscuit or you can can simply pop on a tray frozen and bake. You will have a yummy biscuit ball. I make these into small, two bite size.
I have included the base recipe and flavouring suggestions.
