Description
The mince is something you can freeze and reheat for those nioghts you need a quick dinner. It doesnt take too long to prepare veggies. You could have dinner on the table in less than 10 minutes.
Ingredients

- 1 onion, diced
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 10g oil, peanut or sesame works well in this dish
- 500g good quality beef or pork mince
- 45g soy sauce
- 50g oyster sauce
- 2 tablespoons of water
- 1/2 teaspoon of pepper
- 1–2 baby cos lettuce heads, leaves pulled apart
- 2 carrots, thinly sliced
- 100g bean sprouts
- 4 shallots/spring onions, thinly sliced on a diagonal
Instructions
- Place oil, onion and garlic into frying pan.
- Fry over medium heat until translucent.
- Add mince.
- Cook until mince has browned.
- Add pepper, water and sauces.
- Cook over medium heat for 5 minutes. Stir to avoid burning. You want the meat to absorb the liquid and sauces.
- Serve a tablespoon or two of mince in lettuce cups, top with vegetables and sliced shallots.
- Serve.
Notes
- Serve mince mixture over rice and top with sliced veggies if preferred.
