This is a healthier version of the sour cream French onion dip.
I thought of this in the middle of the night whilst up with the baby and thought I was a genius! I googled and it turns out others had the same idea. I haven’t seen one done in the tmx so thought I would post.
It’s a much different taste to the sour cream version. It tastes nice with crackers and carrot sticks.
Almond French Onion Dip
- Total Time: 6 hours
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup almonds soaked in water for 6–8 hours
- 40g French onion soup mix
- 1 spring onion sliced
- Water
Instructions
- Drain almonds and place into tmx.
- Blitz on speed 8 for 15 seconds.
- Scrape down.
- Add 1 measuring cup of water.
- Blitz on speed 8 for 10 secs.
- Scrape down.
- Add 1 measuring cup of water (don’t add this one if you want a chunkier dip).
- Blitz on speed 8 for 30 secs if adding the water.
- Add soup mix.
- Blitz on speed 8 for 10 secs.
- Pour into a bowl and top with spring onions.
- Refrigerate.
- Consume that day.
