Mini Peanut Butter Choc Chip Cookies

Thermomix Peanut Butter Choc Chip Cookies? Yes please. Mini version? OH YES! These cookies are a tweak on a recipe I used to make years ago and even have here on the blog (you can find it here). I have tweaked the recipe a little lately to make slightly healthier, mini versions with less sugar for the 3 year old. These are a staple in our kitchen at the moment. They are very decadent so go a long way. If you love peanut butter cups and all things peanut butter you will love these! If you make these Thermomix Peanut Butter Choc Chip Cookies please come and share a photo [...]

Mango Passionfruit Yoghurt Pops

I am not going to lie. I had a delicious recipe to share with you tonight buuuuuuut time got away from me and I didn't get a decent photo (well as decent as my photos get!) of it before the sun went down. Being Monday and "On Monday we blog" I couldn't let the day pass without a new recipe. So tonight I want to share one of my old times fave with you. These Mango Passionfruit Yoghurt Pops come from the very awesome (not bias at all *cough*) thermomixing mag The 4 Blades Magazine  and come from The BBQ Issue Vol 2. Festive Mars Bar Slice

I am a massive fan of Mars Bar Slice. It always reminds me of childhood. I think it was a staple at all kids parties in the 90s here in Australia. This is my super easy festive spin on it. My son took this batch to school today for the class party. Not healthy in the slightest but a massive hit!  Note to self: Take a better photo of this one. If you make them please come and share a photo on our Facebook page or come and say in our Facebook group. I would LOVE to see them!

Gingerbread Pudding Biscuits

Well it wouldn't be Christmas without gingerbread and I realised I didn't have a gingerbread recipe on the blog. Eek! Time to fix that. I can't take credit for this idea. My mother in law suggested it to me and I got creating. The actual gingerbread recipe is based off of the one I wrote for The Christmas Issue of The 4 Blades Magazine with a few little changes over the years.  I didn't realise how well gingerbread cookies and white chocolate went together. Oh my goodness - it is DELICIOUS!  If you make them please come and share a photo on our Facebook page or come and say in our [...]

Mini Chocolate Christmas Pudding Balls

These chocolate balls are a massive hit in my house and are something we have made every Christmas for as long as I can remember. They don't last long at all. I went to make a batch today and thought I'd get a little creative and turn these delicious little morsels into little Christmas puddings. So cute!  What I love about this recipe is you can add any flavours you like two the mix. Some peppermint essence is great and Christmasy as is half a teaspoon of mixed spice!  If you make them please come and share a photo on our Facebook page or come and say in our Facebook group. [...]

Festive Rudolph Biscuits

So on Monday night I posted my first recipe in a while - my Festive Reindeer Donuts. These were really well received but I got a bunch of messages asking what to do if you don't have a donut machine or tin. Store-bought is perfectly ok and as mentioned in the post, cupcakes and muffins work just as well too.  But it got me thinking - a biscuit is just as easy and cute so thought I would whip up a quick recipe for those wanting a donut/cake alternative. Want a healthier version? Use sliced apple rings. I haven't tried it but think it could be a winner!  If you [...]

No way!? Am I posting a recipe for etc first time in over 12 months? Why yes. Yes I am. Better late than never right?  It is that time of year where we are often invited to events and asked to bring a plate. These are the cutest little things to bring and share that will get everyone talking - and they are so so easy! My kiddies really loved helping me make these.  The idea for these came actually came from a friend. She posted a photo of a donut from a popular donut shop she was eating and I thought "Heck. I can make my own homemade version [...]

Chocolate Hommus

Join us This may be my new favourite snack! Delicious chocolately goodness with a secret ingredient - chickpeas! Even kidney beans work a treat! Who would have thought. This is a great party food or slightly healthier dessert. I use 70%+ dark chocolate for this recipe. If you do not like dark chocolate you can use milk chocolate. The dark will give it a much stronger chocolate flavour so just keep that in mind. It is best consumed straight away. You can refrigerate it but it will firm up so you will need to add a little milk and give it another mix. This can be made as firm or [...]

Condensed Milk Biscuits

Join us Does anyone else have 265 cans of condensed milk in their cupboard? I have no idea how I started a condensed milk family but I have (actually I blame my Lazy Caramel Slice recipe!!). They are all there staring at me every time I open the pantry. I hate to break up the family but I need to start using some. Friends and family are about to be inundated with food gifts! These biscuits are a great way to use up a tin and make a large batch of delicious biscuits. There are lots of simialr recipes around the internet that add an egg or 1+ cup of [...]

Caramel Rice Bubble Bars

Join us This recipe for Caramel Rice Bubble Bars comes from my wonderful friend Amy who is an amazing cook and has so many amazing recipes just like this one. Word of warning - these Caramel Rice Bubble Bars are very moreish! I didn't think I would like them as much as I did. They are a strong honey flavour but the sesame seeds add a slightly nutty flavour to them. These are a great twist to traditional rice bubble bars sold in the supermarket. They have a handful of very basic everday ingredients and are so easy to whip up. My 6 year old loves making a batch of [...]

If you missed the challenge and want to know when another is running sign up to our notification mailing list! I am slightly obsessed with a chocolate and avocado combo at the moment (can you believe I used to hate avocado?!). Putting them into a cake or biscuits like my Chocolate Avocado Biscuits (so good!) has really made me come around to avocados. I now love nothing more than a big bowl of guacamole! Anyway.... I'm rambling. Back to the [...]
