With ANZAC Day approaching I thought I would blog some delicious new recipes based on the much loved Anzac biscuit.
These are a delicious golden syrupy bliss ball made in no time at all! They are great to whip up for morning or afternoon tea as a delicious snack with tea or coffee.

Anzac Bliss Balls
Description
These can be frozen.
Ingredients
Scale
Gather these
- 90g rolled oats
- 100g desiccated coconut
- 100g macadamias
- 100g golden syrup
- 2 tsp vanilla bean paste
- pinch of salt
- splash of water if needed
Instructions
Then mix like this
- Place everything except water into bowl. Speed 9 until a dough starts to form. Add a splash of water if needed to help bring it together.
- Spoon mixture out onto a plate.
- Roll into 20 small balls.
- Place into fridge to set for a few hours.
Or cook like this
- Place everything into a food processor. Mix on high speed until a dough forms.
- Spoon mixture out onto a plate.
- Roll into 20 small balls.
- Place into fridge to set for a few hours.

OMG – these are delish! I rolled them in coconut… not sure they will last to ‘set’ in the fridge!
Wow. Just whipped these up and they are very more-ish. I only had 70 grams of macadamia nuts, so substituted the rest with almonds. I can see me eating them all!
I was tempted to try making a double batch. Glad I didn’t. I would have gotten about 50 balls (if I didn’t sample as I went). 40 made it to the fridge. They are still a good snack size and good portion size for my little one. I rolled them in coconut as well. For a super indulgence I might drizzle a couple with melted chocolate. I know that’s drifted from the ANZAC tradition.
