These are so easy and are my go to recipe for Easter and Christmas gifts. I box these up in noddles boxes with ribbon and gift cards.

You can vary the flavours used to include what you have on hand or your preferences. All you need is some ice cube trays if you don’t have any chocolate moulds on hand.

Variations:

  • Use a liquor or essence to flavour the chocolate or fudge centre.
  • Use dark chocolate and add orange zest to the fudge centre mix.
  • Use white chocolate and add coconut to the fudge centre mix.
  • Use dark chocolate and flavour the fudge centre mix with peppermint essence.
  • Once the truffles are set, pop them out of their mould and drizzle with a little chocolate. Eg: drizzle white chocolate over milk chocolate truffles.
  • Dust set truffles with cocoa powder or similar.

Fudge Centred Truffles

  • Author: The road to loving my Thermo Mixer
  • Yield: 18 1x

Description

A quick easy truffle for gift giving.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 400g of chocolate of choice, you make make multiple flavours if preferred
  • 100g condensed milk
  • Flavourings of choice, see variations listed below

Instructions

  1. Melt chocolate in bowl at 50 degrees, speed 4 until melted.
  2. In an ice cube tray, pour a little chocolate into each hole. Use your finger or a brush to ensure the base and sides have a coating of chocolate to help form a shell.
  3. Allow to set just slightly (or completely if you have the time).
  4. Place approximately a quarter of the melted chocolate into a separate bowl along with the condensed milk. Stir until fudge like consistency. You may need to add a little extra chocolate to the mix if it isn’t “fudgey” enough.
  5. Place a small amount of this fudge mixture into each hole on top of the chocolate.
  6. Spoon over more melted chocolate to “seal” the truffle. Ensure the fudge is completely covered.
  7. Tap chocolate mould on the bench to release any air bubbles.
  8. Allow to set in the fridge.
  9. These will keep up to two weeks.
