I have tweaked the method ever so slightly to make these White Chocolate and Raspberry Scones achievable even for a beginner baker. Honey Almond Slice

Join us I will start this post by saying I can’t claim the credit for this delicious recipe. I was recently holidaying at my in laws house and my mother in law shared this scrumptious slice with me. I had wondered for years about how they made this slice every time I had walked past a bakery or the like. As you can imagine my “figure out to to make it” list is pretty long so I had never gotten around to trying. I am basing this all off memory and combining it with my lazy caramel/white chocolate caramel slice recipes. If you love honey you are going to love [...]

White Chocolate Macadamia Caramel Slice

You really cant go wrong with white chocolate, macadamias and condensed milk can you? Once cooled it will be an almost chewy type of slice. Delicious! Don’t forget to hang out with TRTLMT in all the cool places!   [...]

Honey Nut Biscuits

Join us These biscuits came from a cookie recipe book I was given many years ago. I loved the look of the biscuits but with over 300g of butter and 250g of sugar (and so crunchy they could break teeth) they needed some serious tweaking. So I started tweaking. I then tweaked again and then tweaked some more until I got these deliciously light, almost fluffy Honey Nut Biscuits. They have a faint hint of honey and delicious nutty crunch. They look really impressive on a plate with a pot of tea (surely they go great with wine too no?). If you are unable to have nuts you can make [...]

Bacon and Onion Dip

Join us If you love dip and bacon you are going to love this new recipe! This may possibly be your new favourite party dip. This will make over 500g of dip so it is perfect for large parties or get together. You can certainly halve the recipe however. The trick to this recipe is using a really smoky bacon to ensure there is plenty of flavour in this dip. We are so use to the strong intense flavour of bacon flavoured store bought items but this is artificial flavouring and hard to replicate. My other dip recipes you may like: Cheese and Bacon Cobb Loaf Dip Roasted Capsicum Dip [...]

Lemon Slice Bites

Join us Lemon Slice is a favourite for many! It has been around for as long as I can remember and has always been a great slice to whip up when guests are coming over or when you need to take plate (surprisingly I have never put it on my blog!). I thought I would do a little twist on this traditional slice and make it in bite form. Who doesn't love bite size treats? This is a delicious little sweet to serve at afternoon tea parties, for high tea or just because. Warning: these are so delicious you wont stop at one! Some of my other bite recipes you [...]
