This cake is so chocolatey and delicious!!! We served it alongside custard but a nice ganache or glaze over the top would be lovely. Ice cream and fresh raspberries would be even better! Yum. This is so simple it's one of my go to recipes. The trick to a nice moist cake is not over cooking it. Dont worry if you do, buttercream icing solves everything!
The old "roadies" here know how much I looooooooooove cheesecake. My blog has quite a few in it. You can use any chocolate bar you like in place of the Mars Bar. A more cost effective option for the base is using a plain biscuit and 15g cocoa powder. When using cream cheese without gelatine for cheesecake be sure to buy the full fat version and the non spreadable version otherwise your cheesecake may not set. I find the Philadelphia [...]
Everyone has their own version of this and I'm sure there are lots of tmx versions out there as well. This is my quick and simple cheesecake recipe that was given to me and tweaked slightly. It's very rich so trust me when I say a small piece is enough. A more cost effective option for the base is using a plain biscuit and 15g cocoa powder. When using cream cheese without gelatine for cheesecake be sure to buy the [...]
It wouldn't be the weekend without a cheesecake! It feels like every weekend I'm making one leading up to Christmas. Yummo!! This is a great one that sets quickly (in 3-4 hours) due to the chocolate content. A more cost effective option for the base is using a plain biscuit and 15g cocoa powder. When using cream cheese without gelatine for cheesecake be sure to buy the full fat version and the non spreadable version otherwise your cheesecake may not [...]
The old "roadies" here know how much I love cheesecake. I've posted choc honeycomb, jelly and choc peppermint cheesecakes over the last month or two. All have been incredibly popular. Toni, a lovely liker of this page, asked if I had a cookies and cream cheesecake recipe. I have been meaning to try this in the tmx but just needed an excuse. This is for you Toni :) A more cost effective option for the base is using a plain [...]
I’m off to my best friends house tonight for a night of nibbles, food and laughs. For me this is my idea of heaven. This is my first time out since having our gorgeous 9 week old baby so I’m quietly excited! I am in charge of dessert and naturally it had to be cheesecake. Choc Peppermint Cheesecake it is! A more cost effective option for the base is using a plain biscuit and 15g cocoa powder. When using cream [...]
Delicious! These are more of a velvety mousse rather than a very air filled bubbly mousse. Delicious nonetheless. I needed to double the mixture to get the two mousses shown. This is probably going to be one of the last of my indulgent recipes now Christmas is nearly over. I have no excuse to try out things that are really bad for me... Oh that's right! New years is coming up! And valentines day! Oh and Easter! Then my birthday!!! [...]
I'm so excited by this! I feel like I'm a genius! The best thing about this is it's so easy! If you want a real Toblerone taste use a good quality Swiss chocolate. Lindt have a cooking range of chocolate. Any chocolate will work though for a chocolate nougat. Of course nothing beats the real Toblerone but this is delicious. It's as simple as: Blitzing 20g of nougat until its the texture of coarse breadcrumbs. I posted my [...]
These are far too easy! They make great Christmas or Easter gifts packaged up but are also great to keep in the fridge in a nice bowl for when unexpected guests pop in. *** IF YOU LIVE IN HOT CLIMATES I SUGGEST MAKING THESE WITHOUT THE OIL. STORE IN FRIDGE UNTIL NEEDED ***
Originally posted on Facebook December 4th 2013: These are the highlight of my day. I'm so impressed with these. My partner said they were yummy. Yummy!?!? They are better than yummy Mr!!! My 3 year old and I had a ball creating this recipe! This makes 20 balls. I won't say how many are left... Updated 2014: I cant believe how popular these have been. On my Facebook page they had over 27,500 shares, 4600 likes, 1700 comments [...]
If I could eat cheesecake for breakfast I would. I LOVE cheesecake. The "no bake" cheesecakes are so quick and simple. I usually just stick to my kitchenaid mixer for things like this but I thought I'd live a little and try the tmx. I'm such a rebel!!! It turned out great! Very smooth and creamy with no lumps of cream cheese that didn't mix properly. It was much quicker than my stand mixer too which is another plus! When [...]
I have posted a few body scrubs in the last month but this has got to be my favourite. Perfect for gift giving.
